How do you reset the Factory Alarm on a 2002 Hyundai Elantra without the Remote (lost)?

HI and welcome to Ja, have you tried cycleing the key in the drivers door 3 times, also if that doesnt work try .. first make sure the battery is connected.. then    get in the vehicle and cycle the igniton key 3 times on and off on and off on and off... lock the doors from the inside and try to restart

If your alarm is factory-installed, first, you will need to insert the key in the ignition in the "ON" position. Leave it there and wait until the alarm stop sounding. It may take between thirty seconds and one-and-a-half minute.

Second. Once the alarm stop, turn the key to the left like if you were going to take it out, but don't remove the key.

Third. Wait Exactly 10 seconds and turn the car on.

This will disable the alarm until it is engaged again using the remote.
