Spirit: the engine in a 1997 Bentley Brooklands with an engine

Customer Question

Can I replace the engine in a 1997 Bentley Brooklands with an engine from an engine from a 1986 Rolls Royce Silver Spirit?

It is possible. They are basically the same 6.75 liter engine. You would need to tranfer all the periperal items from the Bently to the Rolls long block to keep it smog legal. There will also be small differences, such as bracketry and mounts. You are going to have to remove the Bentley engine regardless, so once it's out, you can visually see any potential issues.
