97 subaru legacy: disconnected..blower motor..abs light..of the fuses

Customer Question

i recently installed a new cd player in my 97 subaru legacy- it worked fine but somehow the dash lights were disconnected- in trying to find the problem i have now somehow engaged the shift lock permanently, the blower motor will not engage, the ABS light is on and the dash lights still won't come on. I have checked all of the fuses, they are fine. WTF did I do?!?!

HeyCustomerthanks for the question,

Well naturally I assume you have taken the cd player back out to see if there is any damage to the wiring from the installation? Yes or no?

When you say you have checked all of the fuses, how were they tested?

Were there instructions for the installation of the CD player or were you just probing for electrical power?

Did you use the old radio connector for electrical connections?
