Hello and thank you for choosing Just Answer.

You can reset it by disconnecting the battery and leaving it disconnected for 5min, then reconnect. The codes will be reset.

I tried this method on a 2003 POLO but the code came back again after about 40 miles. Can I be sure it wont happen on the Daimler.?
Expert:  OnlineHelp replied 9 years ago.
The 2003 is an OBDII while the 1994 is a OBDI. Different diagnostic system, what you need to know is if the fault is still there the code will come back. The system will pick up the fault and it will trigger the light to come back on.
