Upon receiving this information, I do believe that this is a control unit problem. The fact that more than one operation is not controllable by the unit indicates that it may be defective. I would suggest that you have it either tested or replaced.

Your Jag has two blower motors located on the driver side behind the dash next to the column and on the passenger side behind the dash. The resistors are located on top of the blower boxes which would have to be removed to access the resistors and motors. On the driver side the steering column needs to be removed and on the passenger side the dash needs to be loosened and moved out of the way. Sometimes you can slide the passengers out just by removing the glove box but it's very tight. I can send you the step by step instructions if you are up to doing the job yourself. I can also send you the electrical diagram and how to check the circuit so you make sure that you have a motor or resistor problem.

Here's the procedure to remove the blower motor boxes.

Driver Side Blower Motor (82.25.56)

Removal

Remove the driver side blower motor duct.

Remove the driver side blower motor.

Steering Column (57.40.01)

Removal

6 .	WARNING : WAIT AT LEAST ONE MINUTE BEFORE STARTING WORK, BECAUSE THE AIR BAG IS EQUIPPED WITH A BACK-UP POWER SOURCE AND MAY BE INADVERTENTLY DEPLOYED. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Center the steering.

Unscrew and remove the upper steering column to universal joint nuts.

Unscrew and remove the column lower mounting bracket securing bolts.

Unscrew and remove the column to upper mounting bracket securing nuts.

Remove the steering column.

Passenger Side Blower Motor (82.25.55)

Removal

Remove the passenger side footwell duct.

Glove Compartment (76.52.03)

Removal

NOTE :

Withdraw liner tangs and dowels from cross-member and separate liner.

Position glove box for access, disconnect footwell and glovebox lamp multiplugs and withdraw the glove box assembly.

Disconnect the passenger side blower motor electrical connector.

Detach the passenger side blower motor duct.

Remove the passenger side blower motor duct.

Remove the screws.

Remove the passenger side blower motor.

The blower motors on your vehicle do not use the typical resistors like other vehicles. You can check the circuit without removing them. To diagnose go to the 15 pin green conector on the passenger blower pictured in the previous post. With the climate control on you should have battery power at pin 5 blue/white wire, ground at pin 8 black wire, 7.6 volts low speed and .83 volts high speed on pin 13 orange/green on one side and blue on other side of connector, 1.3 volts low speed and 0 volts on high speed on pin 10 grren/orange...green wire. If all signals are correct you have a problem with the blower if you don't have all these signals then you need to check the wiring to the controller or you just have a faulty control module. To check the driver side blower you do the same test. Find the green 15 pin conector the blue/red wire will have battery voltage, black wire ground, blue wire 7.6 volts low speed and .83 volts high speed, and the green wire 1.3 volts low speed and 0 volts high speed.
