DTC P0732 - incorrect 2nd gear ratio

DTC P0733 - incorrect 3rd gear ratio

DTC P0734 - incorrect 4th gear ratio

Possible causes:

  • faulty valve body
  • internal seal cut or damaged
  • hyrdaulic line pressure faulty
  • faulty 2nd, 3rd, and 4th clutch plates
  • shift solenoid packs faulty

To test the shift solenoids a diagnostic scanner is needed to perform solenoid audible check. If solenoids are ok, transmission will need to be pulled and valve body, cluctch plates and internal seals checked.

In all likelyhood you are looking at a transmission overhaul.

Reply to Eric's Post: replace valve body remanufactured. put a use valve body and now anew one from saturn. rebuild transmision with a remanufactured valvebody. then I put a new valvebody and then put a used one. put a used complete transmission unit.

Where the solenoid packs from the used transmission checked with a scanner to make sure they were working. Were clutch plates checked, was a hydraulic line pressure test done on used transmission to verify correct pressure? Were seals checked for damage? Was delivery tube in input shaft checked and measured to ensure it wasnt mis-aligned? Was dog-clutch hub checked for correct alignment?

Unless all these were done and verified, there is no way to know if used transmission is faulty or not.

Assuming that all this was done, and that used transmission is in perferct working order, including shift solenoids and valve body, you would need to start looking at short/open in wiring to shift solenoids. This can be either inside or outside transmission where open/short in wiring exists.

all was checked and done .

Then you need to start checking for short/open in wiring harness going to shift solenoids.

every thing you said ive done. step by step with wire diagrams with atra help and all data. what else

Have you checked input and output speed sensors, along with CKP to make sure they are functioning properly. If these arent, then PCM is getting faulty information in determining proper shift ratio
