2003 Chevy Suburban 1500: rear air..What kind of fuses are

This answer was rated:

I have a 2003 Chevy Suburban 1500 4x4. I am having troubles with the rear air not working. What kind of fuses are there for that unit?

HiCustomer Thank you for asking your question on Just Answer.

Can you tell me what the symptoms are?

Does the blower not work at all, or not work at various speeds?

Customer: replied 9 years ago.
THere is no air flow to the rear. I have a tv installed and I think it blew a fuse. but I can't find the right one.

OK. Can I assume it is a "manual" AC system, with heat in the back too?

Manual systems do not have a temperature display, just a dial for cold to hot.

OK. I will check for the fuses.

So far I have found one in the under hood fuse block, that should be labeled "RR HVAC" and is 30 amps. I will see if I can get you a diagram.

Thanks, XXXXX

OK. Here is the diagram that shows the RR HVAC fuse location. This is in the Underhood Fuse Block.

There may be other fuses, but check that one first. The best way to check it is with a multimeter or a test light.

Please let me know what you find.

Thanks, XXXXX

I went out and found the fuse but it is not bad. I dont have a test light though.

OK, another question: did you just have the TV installed, or some other work done, when this happened?

Customer: replied 9 years ago.
NO the tv was installed 2 years ago. it just decided to completely stop about 2 weeks ago.

Hmm. There is another fuse in the left side of the instrument panel (IP) that feeds power to the control circuits for the rear heat/AC. It should be labeled IGN 3 and is shown below. Check that on out and let me know.
