Hi I have a white 1994 mazda protege and the connector between the gas door and the inside came lose I was wondering how to put it back in.

What type of connector is this? Is it an electrical connector? Is it the hinge for the door?

its the hinge that holds the gas door closed. it kind of locks the gas door in place
