99 olds alero: gas pedal..leaking..disconnect vaccum to reg

have a 99 olds alero-3.4 -after 1st start have to hold gas pedal to get to start,replaced leaking reg...if i disconnect vaccum to seems to start decent ???????????? thanks

You will need to remove the EGR valve and make sure it is not stuck open. ( 2 10 mm bolts) and if it is stuck, remove carbon blockage and test. If it is working okay, then you will need to replace the IAC valve. As it is stuck/damaged.

Well, don't stop there. Fix the reason the fuel got in the oil. This is most likely caused by a leaking injector. You will want to replace the bad injector to prevent this from being a reoccuring problem.
