Having AC problems. I was told that the issue was high
I was told that the issue was high pressure on high side and was told that I would need to replace condenser and dryer. Before I could replace my wife drove the car and blew the high pressure hose off going top condenser. I di not do anything for a year and decided to do the repairs myself. I replace the hose, condenser and dryer. I then vacuum the system for 3 hours and attempted to add freon. The max pressure i could get was 35PSI on the low side. The clutch was short cycling and when the compressor comes on the low drops to almost zero but the high side stays at rough the same PSI as low-35psi. My question is the compressor bad or the expansion value. It is a 2002 Volvo and to replace the expansion value it is a total removal of the dash. Desperate for help and advise … read more
