With the blower working only at higher engine speeds,
working low speed on high, and making noise, it sounds like the blower motor is bad.
Repacing the blower motor is fairly easy requiring no special tools.
To REmove
Remove the blower motor attaching screws.
Remove the blower motor.
Remove the blower motor fan from the motor shaft for access to the motor attaching nuts.
To Install
Install the blower motor fan on the motor shaft.
Install the blower motor and fasten the attaching screws.
Engage the electrical connection.
