Customer: Pioneer AVIC-5200Nex i bought unit from salvage yard
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I bought it from a salvage yard nice asking for a password
JA: Anything else you want the electronics expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's all the unit lights up what is asking for a password

Press the RESET button with a pen tip or paper clip and hold for 20 seconds

The device should factory reset now without any password.

I spoke with an agent and it said it must be sent to Pioneer to be unlocked

You will have to ship the Avic-5200NEX to Pioneer, as there is no way to RESET the Unit, without Pioneer help.
