I have a pioneer AVIC-Z130BT. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy

Customer Question

I have a pioneer AVIC-Z130BT.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4.
When I connect via bluetooth to my phone, it plays music fine, but I'm not able to skip songs, pause, play....ect, with the head unit controls or the steering wheel controls. I have to use the controls on my phone for those functions. I am using the "Play Music" app on my phone. It doesn't show the song info on the display of the head unit either.
What can I do to make this work properly?

Controlling it with your phone is normal for that receiver. Do you see any indicators that it is malfunctioning? Have you updated your firmware on your receiver?
