Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

What is the maker name or brand name of the radio in question, please?

And, have you tried the security code in the manual, anyway? it's worth *one* try.

Comes back blinking CodeE Waited Three minutes . It did the same.

Can you look up the correct code?
Expert:  Russell H. replied 11 months ago.

Maybe - but, what is the maker name or brand name of the radio in question, please?

And roughly how old is it, at least within the nearest decade?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
It is a Blaupunkt 1280 limited A392100381

shows where the serial # and the part # are - those are both needed for the generating of the code, please.

There is no bar code.
Expert:  Russell H. replied 11 months ago.

The numbers on the manufacturer's label are what is important. Does your radio have such a label?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Trying to get you a picture.
Expert:  Russell H. replied 11 months ago.

To generate the code the serial # needs to be 14 digits, the part # needs to be 10 digits.

You have 10 digits in the picture, and then 8 digits, not fitting that pattern. I'm sorry - I don't know what to do except take it to a Blaupunkt factory service center... would you like information for doing that?

Is there no other label on or under the radio?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
please.

OK... the best information I can find (after a bit of bother with Blaupunkt's sites) is
