My alpine mrxv70 shuts off ?? it started about 6 months

my alpine mrxv70 shuts off ?? it started about 6 months afterr i got it but it shut off at a lot louder level then ... it has got progressively worse and i cant run over 10 anymore

the power light on amp stays on but no sound ... the deck (alpine) keep playing like nothing happened ... turn car ignition to off and back on it comes right back on

Initially, the only easy user doable checks would be as listed below. Proposed preliminary tries (if have not been done):

  • • check the speaker wires;
  • • check Ω resistance of all the speakers 1 at a time;
  • • physically check each speaker by pushing/releasing the cone while observing resistance reading;
  • • test presence and consistency of +12V on the MRX-V70's BATTERY wire;
  • • do the same for the REMOTE (trigger) wire;
  • • and ensure that the GROUND is tied to the vehicles chassis/frame and not only to the harness ground line.

All others would be in the internal circuitry. If so, are you then considering a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair approach? If yes, do you have access to and familiar with a soldering iron?
