Customer Question

I just bought a new galaxy s7 edge and now I cant get it to pair with my pioneer AVA-200BT. Ive tried everything. turning on/off clearing memory(which it doesn't even highlight to let me delete) It says no service or error 10. I don't know what else to do?

Hi there and welcome

How far do you get in the process? Can the phone see the stereo?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
it gives me a code and starts to pair and then it says can not connect.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

Thanks

Can you go on the phone to Settings, Applications, and swipe to all

Locate Bluetooth, press it and press Clear Data.

Once done, restart the phone, try to pair it and let me know if it then connects please.

I don't mean to sound stupid but I don't see that option under applications under settings and applications.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

which option are you referring to?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Never mind. I found it. I had to look it up. it wasn't on my screen.
Open Settings > Applications > Application manager, tap More and then select Show system apps. Now if you scroll down you should see an application called Bluetooth Share. Tap it to open.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
That's why I didn't find it. Well I did what you said. I cant check it at the moment. I am at work so I will have to check it at lunch. If it does not work. What will be my other option?
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

ok, sorry Elena, I really am not sure what you are doing... you go to Open Settings > Applications > Application manager

Then you did completely different instructions to what I have been asking.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

after the step you

swipe to all

Locate Bluetooth, press it and press Clear Data.

Once done, restart the phone, try to pair it and let me know if it then connects please.

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Thats what i did
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

No, you did

tap More and then select Show system apps. Now if you scroll down you should see an application called Bluetooth Share. Tap it to open.

Not sure where you received the instructions from, but its not what I am asking you to do.

Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

and why its not working

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
You were giving me instrutions to do that. But the option was not to be found. I had to do other steps to get there is what i was saying. I was having trouble looking for it.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I cleared it data. Its done.
Expert:  Richard replied 1 year ago.

You do not find the option, you SWIPE

But it looks like for some reason we can't get past this step, as there seems to be a misunderstanding occuring as your looking for an option, but thats not what I am requesting.

Your going to have to reset the phone then. It is going to remove all your data and return the phone to new, but this you cannot avoid.

Go to settings, Backup and Reset and choose Factory Reset.

Complete this, set up the phone again and then try to pair it.

Let me know the results please.
