Customer Question

My hobby is tinkering with things mechanical, electrical and electronics. Right now I'm putting together a home made alarm for my camper trailer. The circuit is 12 volt DC, of course, and I've put together a WIRED circuit that runs off a 12 V DC deep cycle boat battery. The only problem is that, once tripped, the device won't quit and reset, but will sound until manually cutoff and reset.
All I need is a component I can wire in that will cut off the sonic alarm after 3 minutes or so, and reset the infrared detector.
The ONLY info I need is what to call a component that will cutoff the alarm and reset the infrared detector after 3-to-five minutes. And I DO NOT want a complicated, expensive "base unit" designed to do anything else but that.

I meant to say that the ONLY information I need is what to call the component, and where I can obtain one or more of them.
