I have a Blau San Diego 530 head unit and the IR remote

Customer Question

I have a Blau San Diego 530 head unit and the IR remote stopped working a year ago or the unit quit responding. I gave up on it until now.
I'm trying to determine the correct battery size for the remote as it's possible I got the wrong one but can't find it in the manual or on the site.
Is there anything on the unit itself that could be the culprit as well?
Thanks!

Hi Robbie,

The remote control uses a CR 2025 3 Volt battery.

Test the remote control by viewing it on a digital LCD screen (e.g. on a camera or cellphone) - when you press the buttons, you should be able to see a faint blue light being emitted from the remote control when you view the emitter on a digital LCD screen.

If the remote control is emitting a signal then the fault is likely with the IR receiver on the head unit.
