replaced battery in my 2005 for escape. car will start with remote then shut off. Then it restarts and shuts off.

aftrmarket. its and a excalibur model is all i know. came with the vehicle/

IF this is Excalibur, it is going to depend on Model Number & what Ford ByPass Module was used.
Without that info, no one can give you a specific answer.
The Remote Start & ByPass Module will be located under Driver Dash
Typically when the Battery is disconnected, the ByPass Module loses Programming.
The ByPass Module "duplicates the Key / Immobilizer Transmitter"
Likely the ByPass & / or the Remote Start will need to be Programmed.
It is best to have a Reputable Car Stereo Shop do this, but if you can find the Model Numbers of the 2 Units I can see what is needed
