Hi Daniel, Thank you for your response. I meant a range from precedents generally, but I can see how there'd be no range per se. I've read of some cases where the nerve damage caused other events, (such as a motor vehicle accident), and so drove the costs/damages quite high. This case is not like that, but there is apparent nerve damage and the patient is awaiting a specialist. In short - a first attempt at a face lift surgery simply didn't work, and the face (neck mostly) was left looking worse than before the surgery. The patient persisted with assertions for some form of resolution and/or a refund. The doctor refused, but later, (when consented and scheduled to perform lypo suction and a CO2 procedure), the doctor did proceed with a face lift surgery revision attempt without advising the patient and without the patient's consent. This attempt failed also, and the patient's face looks worse again than after the first failed attempt. The doctor advised that no further attempts should be made, thereby declaring that the disfigurement caused by his two failed attempts, is permanent. We seek case law, or some other precedent or credible guidance, as to what the Court may consider to award. The patient's vision or speech are not effected but there's a sharp reoccurring pain near the point of incision, sometimes accompanied by severe headaches. Also the visual disfigurement, though mostly on the neck, is permanent and noticeable damage to the patient's physical appearance. There were many other behavioral infractions against the doctor and a complaint has been filed with the local oversight entity.My question in all of that is how do I find/source case law cost-effectively to support the patient's position?
