I am currently on...

I am currently on a closed work permit and in the process of applying for EE FSW/CEC (I got ITA Jan 12 this year). I have a pending intra company transfer to US on Feb 1 with some possibility to postpone. Here are my questions:
My score for EE includes the +50 for Imia and if I leave Canada, I assume I will lose that 50 and fall below the current admission line. My question is, is there a “lock” on the score once I submit the application that even if I leave the country I am still eligible? If not, what would be the step in the whole process that “finalize” the score, and how long does it usually take after application submission?
My current Work Permit and visa stamp both will expire July 2024. If I transfer to US or get laid off so that I no longer work for my current company’s Canada branch, can I still legally stay in Canada, or re-enter before the expiration date? Also, I heard that I can apply for a bridge open work permit if my previous WP no longer work and if my EE application is processing, does it apply in this situation?

Here is the answer to your query. Please do not hesitate to ask any follow up questions related to this response and know that I will respond as soon as I can.

The reason I am asking is that if you are in the US and working for a Canadian employer then your days outside of Canada will count as days inside of Canada and then you won't risk losing your PR status.

It would make sense to get your PR status before any transfer to the US. You cannot be given your PR if you are not settled or else planning to settle in Canada.

So a more prudent approach is to continue to live and work here until you get your PR status and they only be about 6 months.

But yes the score is locked in. So if they are in the middle of the process and you lose your job (just by way of example) that should not hurt you.

But moving away will hurt you.
