I am a Canadian citizen . I booked a flight by Qatarairways on June 11,2022 by a travel agency in Doha and I paid for comfortable seats for me and my wife 23A and 23B . Iam a frequent flyer with this airline and I am 75 years old and diabetic and my wife is 64 years old and she was sick . A lady at the the QR counter deprived us from the seats we booked and changed us to free uncomfortable seats. We both old and suffered a lot in the 14 hours flight to Doha. I missed my diabetic meal and forced to take a high calories meal. I arrived Doha with swollen feet. My wife also suffered due to the uncomfortable seating. I have all the documents , the boarding passes given to us and our itinerary issued by the travel agency. We paid extra 240 Qatari riyals for the seats which are given to another passenger. The lady told us that the seats given to us are near the exit door and nobody above 65 years should sit there. However I told her my wife is less than 65 and she can sit and I can sit somewhere else. She refused and she is very rude to us. I took her name. When I boarded the plane, I discovered that we have been dubed 23 A and 23B are not near an exit door and were given to one individual.
