i want to send a letter or email to my employer who is mandating weekly covid tests only to non vaccinated employees or face disciplinary action.
Please read and tell me what you think.
Or if you have a better version that would be great.1- I am writing this letter to express my concern and disagreement with the recent (B-19 Policy), which was September 15 2021, Explaining B-19.2 PROCEDURE “RAPID ANTIGEN TESTING” ISSUE DATE: 09/23/21. States “Where an employee does not provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with Procedure B-19.1A, but instead relies upon the medical reason described in Procedure B-19.1B or the educational session at Procedure B-19.1C, the employee shall submit to regular antigen point of care testing for COVID-19 and demonstrate a negative result, at intervals, locations and methods to be determined by NACL.”
NACL is in violation of Public BILL (Senate) S-201 (42-1)- Royal Assent- Genetic Non-Discrimination Act- Parliament of Canada. I feel it is not right to segregate the “vaccinated” from the “unvaccinated”. As this adds to the stigmatism and forces a gap between workers and society. A mandate is not a law, you can not break a law to enforce a mandate.

As I had mentioned in the General staff meeting. I am not an “anti-vaccinator” but I am about prochoice. And I believe I have rights to my body. I do not consent to being segregated
According to “BILL S-201 (Royal Assent) May 4, 2017” Under “Prohibitions” it states under, “Genetic test 3 (1) It is prohibited for any person to require an individual to undergo a genetic test as a condition of (a) providing goods or services to that individual; (b) entering into or continuing a contract or agreement with that individual; or (c) offering or continuing specific terms or conditions in a contract or agreement with that individual.” (BILL S-201 STATUTES OF CANADA 2017 CHAPTER 3- An Act to prohibit and prevent genetic discrimination, 2017)

If you have a medical exemption or religious exemption your right is to receive reasonable accommodations if providing this accommodation will not cause the employer to undergo undue hardship.

So if you can prove you have one of these grounds then the employer must allow you to work remotely unless doing so would cause them to undergo undue hardship or they could provide you an accommodation such as doing COVID screening instead.

If you don't have grounds then your right is to find another job where the law and your employer will allow you to work without being vaccinated.

You are not understanding the law and your letter doesn't make any sense. It has no reflection of the law. You need to understand that you aren not being compelled to be vaccinated and you are not being compelled to be screened. These are your choices but your decisions have consequences. You will find that to be the case with your employer, with your ability to enter various premises, with your ability to fly domestically or board a train etc .

Your choice is yours to make but you will not be permitted to fully interact in society any more and int he days and weeks to come the restrictions are going to increase.

You have the right to do what you want with your body. No one's compelling you to be vaccinated and you can keep all this information confidential. But you won't be able to work for this employer if you do.

Isn't a leave of absence something an employee themself asks for? Is it in effect a lay-off? Is it against an employee's human rights and privacy to insist they disclose vaccination status? GNA law of 2017 ? • Employee with 24 years employment, clean record, excellent attendance, no reprimands, lead hand, very organized and smooth running of area employed in. • The government did not mandate private business MUST be vaccinated so how can a warehouse company legally mandate it? • Should they have to pay severance for what is in effect a layoff with no intention of recall UNLESS vaccinated • Approx 30 other workers called in numerous times to enquire if they are going to comply with vaccination yet I was only called in for first notice (verbal) and then the final notice when handed the unpaid leave of absence letter • Dan Munro was nasty and combative when pushing for vaccination with the employees with one on one meetings in all cases. • CCS is violating the law by requesting we be vaccinated as a term of our employment – in Canada this is completely ILLEGAL • GNA law of 2017 formerly known as Bill S-201 – law requiring you to submit to testing on a regular basis QUESTIONS FOR CONESTOGA COLD STORAGE: (in writing ?) • Are there any of the vaccines that are approved for clinical use?
