My daughter was at McGill in Montreal. She was pressured by her roommates into signing a lease for an apartment for 1 year (May 2019 to May 2020). She expressed her concern about the rent being too high for her but the other girls convinced her to sign. Since then, she has had her hours cut at her part time job in Montreal. She realises she jut can't afford to continue studying at McGill and has decided to come come. She paid up for the first month's rent and said she would find a person to replace her on the lease.
