Another question:
I received a "RELEASE OF ESTATE TRUSTREE WITH A WILL IN THE ESTATE OF" it goes on "in the Will am satisfied that I have received all money and other assets of the estate to which I am entitled and consent to the account as provided to me from (my brother), executor under a will and trustee of the estate of the late (my Mom)."AND THEREFORE I, (MY NAME), do by these presents RELEASE, REMISE, QUIT CLAIM AND FOREVER DISCHARGE the said executor and trustee (my brother), from any claim I may have with respect to the estate of the said (my Mom), AND I DO HEREBY AGREE to hold harmless the said and trustees and to indemnify them with respect to any claims which may be made against the estate of the late (my Mom) and for which they may be held liable to the extent of the value of the estate received by me."Of note, currently documented paperwork, The funds are being held in trust by the lawyer and my brother's proposal is to distribute the funds equally between myself, my sister and my brother. "(my brother) has proposed that we provide an interim distribution of $$$ this year, to each of you, from these funds," These funds are from the sale of my Mom's condo that she put my brother's name on as joint owners in order to sell without delay.
The funds are being held in trust by the lawyer and my brother's proposal is to distribute the funds equally between myself, my sister and my brother.Do I sign this before receiving monies, also there is no mention of Mom's bank account (that she had my sister's name on), which I am going to ask if documented as we previously discussed. The last would be any monies coming when tax return complete. He was also her direct beneficiary of her RRIF, TFSA and Life Insurance.The more I go through this (rereading it), I am thinking that my brother could have just taken everything(?)
