VerifiedIf this was in fact a scam, you could report it to police. However, under the circumstances, it is unlikelythe police would take any action. The other option would be write to the company demanding a refund; it is unlikely they will be willing to refund the money but if they know they're scamming people and refunding $45 will get you off their back, they may be inclined to do so. There are further measures you could take which involve a lawyer, such as writing them a Demand Letter (demanding they refund the money) or suing them, but these measures would certainly cost (in legal fees) far more than $45 and thus may not be worthwhile to you.
