VerifiedHi, thank you for contacting Just Answer. There are two types of protection orders in BC: peace bond and a family law protection order. To get the first one you have to contact police and they will guide you how to bring the matter to the crown prosecutor and , eventually, to the judge. If you DO NOT want to involve the criminal justice system, You can apply for a family protection order under the Family Law Act. I strongly suggest to call the court first to check whether or not they are accepting those applications since the courts are starting to shut down because of the virus all across the country.
