I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation and also sorry I do not have good news.

But the Ontario Court of Appeal has made it clear that the limitation period for enforcing a foreign judgment is two years from when the time for appealing runs out.

The law treats a foreign judgment as a contract for debt essentially and not an actual judgment.

I wish I could have given you a different answer.

Yes I am there. But I don't work 24 hours a day. On top of that you shot the messenger and gave me the very worst possible rating on the site because I just couldn't give you the answer you wanted to hear.

So please explain why you feel that what you did by harming my stats was honest and fair and why you feel that because you don't like the law I should work for free.

You can rate again and I hope you do because you paid the site but the site didn't pay me and I believe you paid the site a very nominal fee and you got an answer from a retired senior lawyer.

I was honest with you and I'm sorry that I could not solve your problem and that is because you're too late and you cannot enforce the judgement in Ontario.

And now that I look back at your post I can see that you were already told that and you would have been told the same solution if there was one by the first lawyer that you saw. There aren't always solutions and in your case there just isn't one.

I would have given a solution if it existed.
