Here is the email I have sent to the strata managementHistory of 207DHDoreen HillsdonMon 2020-01-20 8:04 PMSent ItemsTo:Vicki Chappell (*****@******.***);EvernoteHi Vicki I had a chance to go over the new bylaws and noticed the rules on sound proofing the laminate floors. We have live here for 8 1/2 years and have had nothing but problems with noise from above.I spoke to Angie and she said a friend of cathy the previous owner had a friend put the flooring in.  Then about 4 years ago when cathy moved out and sold to Angie she put cheap kitchen lino on the bedroom floors.  Up to then we never heard anything in the bedroom as it was carpet.  When she put lino in we could here everything including when someone was urinating in the bathroom.  We can hear everytime pat comes home with her cart and it bangs over the tile at  the front door.When we try and talk with all owners of 207 we end up looking like the bad guy or we are difficult to get along with or we are nothing but complainers.  We can hear someone sneeze, vacuuming laughing and many other things.  It has become so stressful that sometimes I feel so depressed as at our age we can't afford to move.  I feel we are stuck here with this issue that was messed up with no approval from the strata and some people are then not accountable for the sloppy jobs that are being done in these unit and then we become victim of the work that was not done properly.   I think floor installation should go through the same approval as I had to do with my bath tub being put in by a professional plumber and electrician.   We are willing to spend the extra price to have it done properly so no one is affect by a sloppy installation.You have new bylaws in place if it passes at the next meeting, but what about the people that have to deal with the people who have not gone through the proper channel.I am a very easy person to get along with but having to be awoken from sleep due to cheap lino flooring in a bedroom and trying to get back to sleep or settling down to watch tv at 6:15pm  and having a vacuum running above you or dragging furniture around.I have become very frustrated with hoping that with each new neighbour it would be better.   We will be here for many years to come and that depresses me.How can a resolution ever happen if new neighbours moving in are not accountable for floors not being put in properly.Doreen Hillsdon
