No, I do not share either with the landlord. I have my own bathroom, and a sink unit as a kitchen in the basement suite.

Thank you very much for the advice.I am also in need of legal advice on one more question that has arisen with my present landlord and the final settlement of the water bill. Having lived in the said basement suite now for 24 days, my landlord now demands compensation for a $500 over consumed water bill.The landlord is convinced it is my responsibility for the cost of the the overconsumption of water and its $500 increase from her November bill of $151. Even though all utilities were stated to be covered, as per the initial rental agreement, she now wants me to cover the difference in the water bill from my deposit.Again, I moved into the basement suite on 03 December, with the agreement that all utilities would be covered in the rental payment. The landlord sent me a text message on Dec 14th, vaguely asking me to watch the constant water flow of the basement suite toilet. This was followed by another text message on Dec. 16th stating that a plumber would be coming that day to fix the problem (please see the attached screen shots of the text messages I was sent).Since this date we have conference called the plumber (my family and the landlord) on the problem and in the plumber's professional opinion, I am in no way responsible for covering the bill for excess water consumption. He stated the problem to be a calcium build-up on the toilet seal (flapper), as well as being warped created over time, much earlier to my move in day (the end result when the plumber came on 16 Dec. was that he replaced the flapper).We have come to a point where time, as you know, is coming up to the move, whether it be on Dec 27th with damage deposit or on March 4th (3 months after notice was given). We will know more when my landlord makes her decision. Can you tell use more on the course of action to take when her argument is I am not going to pay for you. Please lend legal direction.
