Hope youre doing well. I have an issue where my heat stopped
I have an issue where my heat stopped working back in november and it took my landlords about two weeks to fix it, in the time that it took they provided me with 3 heaters, mind you there is not many outlet to plug in so i was very conscious about how long they were plugged in. after the heat was fixed for about two months it was working, but now from since sunday december 10th the heat has stopped working again and they have left me again with 2 heaters, its the middle of winter its freezing and i cant leave a space heater plugged in 24/7, the pluggs get very hot and i am concerned about it becoming a fire hazard. my landlords have not provided with any information about the heat being fixed anytime soon but they did say that they would be leaving the space heaters for the remainder of winter, this indicates to me that they have no intention of getting it fixed. this is in toronto ontario … read more

Can a landlord evict you during winter. Ontario. I have been
I have been advised by landlord and tenant board of Ontario to sue the landlord on a number of issues. The newest issue is that they want to raise the rent by $300 which is not legal. So I have made the decision to look for another place. In the mean time I will not pay the rent increase so I'm not sure if they would want to take action to evict me while I'm looking for a place for my family … read more

I am currently renting a cottage in Port Stanley, Ontario.
I am currently renting a cottage in Port Stanley, Ontario. Before I moved, I was told that a gas fireplace located in the kitchen would heat the entire cottage. I questioned 'how' this gas fireplace could heat the entire cottage given the layout of the cottage. I moved in and the fireplace definitely did not heat the entire cottage. I kept room tempatures and at night, my bedroom would drop down to 5-10C. … read more
