Are you saying you are suing personally or is the church incorporated and you are representing the church?
It's OK.
Then a corporation is the plaintiff. That means you are not the plaintiff and would not be liable for costs. In most cases costs are law in Small Claims Court anyway.
You can sue for both out of pocket losses and other heads of damages. Yes you can sue for damage to your agency's reputation.
What you should know is that the monetary cap is going up Jan 1 so if you hold off suing until then you can sue for up to $35K if you think that is warranted.
