Ana Koi Bridal set up a merchant account with First Data over a year ago and trusted our business to this company even when we had a lot of other companies coming and calling us to transfer our accounts there. We strongly believe that this big company is the best on the market to deal with and receive customer service we have expected. On June 5th 2018 we had a first unpleasant experience. One of our clients who purchased a wedding dress have called their credit card and disputed their payment to us. First Data have taken the disputed amount out of our account without no notification at all. When we have noticed that there is a payment taken out of our account we called the company and ask to explain what is going on. Representative told us that there was a dispute from the account and mentioned that we need to provide paperwork proving our contract with the client and that transaction happened in our store with the client punching in all the info including her password ***** the store. We of course faxed all requested documentation proving the transaction and our contract showing that there is no return or refund due to the fact that we order custom made dresses based on the clients measurements. Two weeks passed by and we did not receive a return of the disputed amount back to us, so we have called again and manager would tell us that she haven't received a fax even though we have provided fax confirmation. We sent a fax again and called again to confirm they have received a fax this time, which they confirmed they did. Since funds were taken out of our account without notice, our rent payment did not go through. And because the funds were not return to us, our landlord have switched the locks of our unit and charge us with legal cost of 16,000 plus 3,000 for change of locks. We also had to hire our lawyer who cost us another $6000 to get the our store back. On top of it all because we had to pay crazy amounts to get the store back it obviously took some time to organize it, so we had to be closed for a month, which destroyed our reputation in the area and in front of our clients who we couldn't provide service to. We have lost sales of a month and our minimum sales amount every 30 days is at least $50,000. But the company did not stop there in July when we finally had funds on the account to pay our landlord to get the unit, they take another transaction of our account without notice to us. We get complete mad about this crazy service so I went to their office in Mississauga to speak to someone live. At first they were kicking me out from the office and saying that they don't work the public, but I had no option but to try to explain the urgency of the situation and not leave without resolution. I have met with the lady who promised to get the manager assigned to our situation right away and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Sandra Curan was the manager who contacted me from Loyalty department and after receiving information for the dispute return the second amount taken from us back to our account. Regarding the first amount taken away she said that fax was never received and file was closed. Obviously I have explained to her and send her confirmation of fax that we sent paper work twice plus we were told that it was received. She said she will try to re-open the file. And on this note she have disappeared. Never returned my phone calls or my emails. I have been sending emails to loyalty department and wouldn't receive an answer for over month. When called customer line, they would always tell me that there is no manager available and have no clue or notes in the system to refer to On september 4th again money are taken out of our account, this time we were a bit wised and kept all the funds to pay the bills in our saving account so transaction did not go through.
