That's an excellent question.

In theory, you absolutely could sue her for lost income / opportunity as a result of her doing what she said she'd do, by advising the FRO of your direct payments.

However, that would be difficult to prove to the degree where a court would order her to pay you damages. She could simply say that she thought she sent notice to the FRO but they lost it, and that anyway it's also your job to keep track of where you send your money and keep proof as well, and there's something to be said for that.

However I can see that it's certainly possible to win a case like that.

FRO is a government agency and thus is very difficult to sue. Your ex clearly doesn't want to communicate with you, so it's time to take this back to court. The sooner the better.

I think so, yes. She's taking money from you that she knows, or ought to know, that she's not entitled to. That's a civil fraud. Of course, I can't promise you what will happen but I believe you have a case.

The more important thing is to get the support order back into court as soon as possible to stop the bleeding.

Neither, that's civil fraud. She collected money from you that she knew, or ought to have known, that she wasn't entitled to.
