I own a condo in Calgary, Alberta. Under our bylaws the garage doors are corporation responsibility. In July the cables broke. This is the third time they have broken and the fourth time they have been changed. The other three times the cost was covered by the corporation. This time the property manager sent a charge back. When I questioned the charge back I was told that the previous boards directed by other property management companies had interpreted the bylaws incorrectly and that the cables should have always been owner responsibility. The management company will not answer any of my questions regarding a change in bylaw interpretation or regarding a change in precedence.
