Its a very one are you ready for it? An employee lawyer.I have worked for this company remotely as a contractor for a year. I was doing such a great job that afterwards, they hired me as a full-time employee and manager for one of their project at another company. I have worked in that position for six months now. However, when I came on board, I was told that some people who have worked there longer than I was not pleased that I got selected to be the manager. I was warned by some employees not to trust anyone and that they are not happy that I am the manager. Mind you; I was selected over a dozen applicants. So apparently, the manager above me was conniving since I was hired to move up one of her childhood friends from another department to my department so that eventually he took my position. After five months of me managing this project, he was brought to my department as an agent. I was told to train him, and after a week, he was promoted to be a supervisor, and I was told he would be assisting me. So to humiliate me, my manager started adding my schedule with agents' schedule and not with the managers and the following week, she added on my schedule that I should be in the queue. Meanwhile, she was not doing so for other managers. She told me many times that I am doing an excellent job. I have asked her for the past week as I have been direct to her from day one, what is going on as I was seeing how strange she was acting and not telling me anything. She never responded and ignored my messages and told me not to bother her. So I kept doing my job the best I could. Suddenly on Friday, she said to me on the work chat she needs to speak with me. I said for sure. She calls me, and she was with HR on the phone. She didn't even tell me she will be calling me with HR. So they start saying that I am not doing a great job. Meanwhile, not long ago, they said I was doing a great job. I told them I don't agree and that I won't discuss this any longer due to their lack of transparency. HR and my former manager and the one they put to replace me are all friends mind you and reside in the same city; they know each other since childhood. Grosso modo, HR( told me on Friday that they will decrease my salary, remove my benefits and that I won't be a manager because apparently, I am no longer a good fit. In any case, they are trying to do everything to force me to resign. But I was advised to let them fire me so they can pay me my dues. I have also checked the schedule for this week. I am not scheduled at all, and they sent me a letter Friday night at 8 PM stating that I won't be a manager anymore, and in the letter shows a lesser pay than my previous pay. I have not answered the letter as I would like some advice as per how to let them fire me without resigning. My previous contract stated that I should give them 3 weeks notice but considering the situation. I don't think I need to. Please, any tips on how to handle this, so I get my severance package will be appreciated. Can anyone tell me my options?
