Are you saying that you are inheriting the full estate including the house?
The estate has to pay for the funeral. There may be a death benefit from the government.
Life insurance that has a designated beneficiary does not form part of the estate. You will not lose any part of your life insurance.
As soon as you provide the death certificate they should do the process and there should not be any delay.
