Then it may make sense for those of you who want the waterway to retain a lawyer together. The lawyer can write a letter to the Strata Council indicating that this group they represent do not want their property value to go down and that one of the reasons you each bought your units was for the waterway.

The letter can say that if there is a vote and the waterway is to be shut down you will all commence legal proceedings and each one will be seeking an order that the waterway be repaired and opened or else for damages which will be for equal to the loss of property value and also for loss of enjoyment of your home.
