When do you leave Canada?
Were you are permanent resident but never became a Canadian citizen?
Shirley an move back as of right.
Right now you don't have any right to move back.
But there are a couple of options. Shirley can sponsor you as her spouse. This can all happen in under a year but not immediately.
Or your children can sponsor you as their parent. That can take a while as well.
But your children can apply for what is called a supervisa. That will allow you to visit them for many years and you can even get a supervisa that will allow you to go and come in case you do want to go back to the US from time to time.
