I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.
Are you saying your son has been living with them half time for some time?
How old is your son?
Is she saying she wants to have the child part-time?
It is not about your rights or the father's or the step-mother's. If this ends up in Court then the court will make its decision solely based on what the court finds to be in the best interests of your child.
And at 12 your child's wishes will be given considerable weight.
So you will have to show that what you are asking for is best for your child and this step -mother would have to do the same.
