If I am understanding, you are wondering how much you should pay to fix your neighbor's siding. Before I talk about that, I should point out that the law only requires you to pay where the damage was caused by your own fault.
So in your case, you would only be required to pay if you were negligent in dealing with the ice on your roof. I don't know the specifics of your situation, but ice often melts from older roofs and slides off in sheets. So I certainly would advise you that you are not automatically required to pay.
Having said that, the answer to your question, how much should you pay, is the amount that you are comfortable paying to keep a good relationship with your neighbor.
Certainly you should not pay for any more siding than the portion that was damaged. But maybe you would just want to contribute a fixed sum to the neighbor's overall re-siding job, rather than paying for materials and labour. I suggest you offer to pay $500 to go towards the overall job.
