Hi. I am confident owner in a condo. The building was made Ino 2014. Just this year the administration did anot inspection. And in this inspection was voiced that the entrance of my condo it was just in the lobby first floor and that's again the building code of Quebec. So the proposed solution is to remove my entrance and do some new enhanced on the fire exit . I am against this . And also I might need compensation from the contructor this will the crease the price of my unit and my quality of life. Is there any legal action that I can take to defend my self ? Can I expect Compensation from the constructor? Thanks in advance

directly from the builders on 2014The entrance change the layout that I agree when I bought it. Also is not what I sign in the notary

The new entry will be through the fire escape stairs. Bit like the rest of the units though the main lobby . Also those stairs are in really bad shape. Just not nice see them

Then you will be able to sue the builder successfully as you didn't get what you paid for if the entrance has to be changed.

Your property will be devalued but more than that you will lose the enjoyment you paid for.

I suggest your next step be to consult with a lawyer face to face with a view to retaining the lawyer to send the builder a letter demanding compensation and threatening a lawsuit.

Sorry. I was hopping some more details. Like is true that the quebec building code does not allow unit doors in the lobby? Is there any government instance that can help me or advise me on the issue? Is there any free or low fee later in the region that can help me? I knew I will need a lawyer the advice is too vague sorry
