The law is that you have a right to take under the will or you have a right to take under the family Law act. This is your choice.

Under the family Law act you will share equally in the value of all assets acquired during the marriage. It doesn't matter whose name is ***** ***** to the asset or who paid for it. You also have a right to share in the increase in value of any assets brought into the marriage. So if you are saying that the only two assets are the house and the furniture and you are each going to have half the house and half the furniture then you would not to any better under the family Law act than you would under the Will.
