Customer Question

I asked for a verbal quote with no more then a 10% over run, the contractor says it was an estimate with a 10% over run
the bill was 106% more
do I have a case?
or should I pay the 106% instead of small claims court?

I am sorry to hear of this difficult situation.

Are you saying that the contractor gave you a price and told you that he would not go over the price by more than 10% but now the bill is over double what you were quoted?

What is the explanation?

During the work did things come up that you are asked about and if so did you consent to the additional work and cost?

There were no extras involved

Then what is the explanation?

How much money are we talking about?

When did they finish the work?
