I was employed by Emera Inc. in the Bahamas.I was let go

Customer Question

I was employed by Emera Inc. in the Bahamas.I was let go from my job for speaking up for my rights and the rights of my fellow colleagues that they clearly violated. Now I am learning that potential employers that I have applied to for employment may have been told not to hire me. I am in the process of obtaining proof of this. If proven, I feel that this would be a part of a string of violations to my rights here in the Bahamas. I feel completely victimized. I would like to know if I would have a case against Emera in Canada once I obtain the necessary proof.

Thanks for your question.

I am not following why Canada is involved?

For example, are you moving back to Canada?

Is this company a Canadian company?
