Customer Question

Is it normal practice for a lawyer (QC) to call up someone and request their address without disclosing who they are and becoming defensive when being asked why they want your address. The individual did not introduce himself nor identify where he was calling from. he just said "does it matter" he did disclose his name as "Bill" but hung up when not successful in getting the information he wanted which was an address which if he was professional he could have gotten from a corporate search

No it is not usual. In fact it is very odd. I cannot believe a lawyer did that.

I suggest you ignore it but if the calls persist then call the police as this could end up amounting to harassment.
