I just brought a car from a dealer, and the odometer reading

Customer Question

Hi, I just brought a car from a dealer, and the odometer reading on the purchase agreement (and what I was intially told), is 11000km, less than what the car is showing. Can I go back, an re-negotiate the price? Do I have any rights here at all?

Yes you can try and renegotiate and you certainly have rights.

You were mis-represented and that means that you are entitled to a full refund and to return the car if you cannot come up with a price that seems fair to you.

If you were to sue in Court that Court would likely find that you didn't get what you paid for and so were entitled to a refund.
