We had our house as we were behind on our payments. the bank

Customer Question

We had our house for sale as we were behind on our payments. the bank had not filed a petition for foreclosure yet, we got an offer on the house which the bank excepted and signed off on the mortgage. 5 years later now we are trying to buy a trailer but it comes up on or credit report that our house was a repossession. As far as I see it was a sale they excepted and don't understand why they would have reported it as a repossession. am I correct and should I be going after them to correct this

Did title ever transfer to the bank? It sounds like it did not.
