Customer Question

A young lady has her first job and one of the tasks assigned to her yesterday required a full respiratory mask because they were working in the "Chlorine Room". The masks provided wouldn't fit over eyeglasses and both she and her more senior co worker required glasses to see enough to do the job properly so they removed the respiratory equipment provided. There is equipment available with prescription lenses but it's expensive and she's at an entry level. Her co worker, apparently, does this all the time. She knows that it is dangerous and that she has the right to refuse to carry out any task which is dangerous but is afraid to be seen as a "troublemaker" in this new job.
Who is responsible for providing the prescription lenses required to do the job safely?
How can she handle the situation?
