What you can do is go to the Landlord Tenant Board and bring an application.

If you can prove that this happened and you will be able to of course you will get your costs for moving and will also get compensation if the new place you rent is comparable in size and quality and costs more. The landlord will have to make up the difference for one year.

I am sorry this happened to you.
